The Professional Fighters League is catching serious heat after a string of eyebrow-raising decisions at their 2025 World Championship finals on Friday night — and fans aren’t holding back.
The biggest firestorm came after Kyle Driscoll was awarded a controversial split-decision win over Husein Kadimagomaev in a fight that had many spectators calling foul the moment the scorecards were read. While Driscoll appeared to take the opening round, the majority of fans — and plenty of analysts — believed Kadimagomaev clearly won rounds two and three. But when the final decision went to Driscoll, including one judge scoring every round in his favor, outrage erupted across social media.

One fan let the organization have it: “Y’all are a joke.” Another chimed in: “This might be the biggest robbery in MMA history. An investigation needs to be conducted.” Others took it even further, with one user demanding, “Ref needs to be in prison.”
Judging in MMA has always been a point of contention, but Friday night’s PFL results took controversy to a whole new level. Many in the MMA community immediately branded the decision as “an embarrassment” and questioned the credibility of the organization.

Just one fight later, Jakub Kaszuba earned a unanimous decision victory over Sergio Cossio — a bout that fans also claimed was “another robbed win.” The reactions echoed the earlier chaos, with fans stating: “There’s absolutely no way again,” and “This organization is pathetic, I’m sticking with the UFC.”
The PFL had hoped to kick off its 2025 World Championship run with a bang. Instead, they’re facing a PR disaster, with even loyal fans declaring they’re done with the promotion altogether.
