On July 25, Conor McGregor’s pub, the Black Forge Inn, was damaged by a small fire set out front of the business.
“You wouldn’t get through it with a rocket launcher,” McGregor declared on social media. “Spotless. Up the Forge! Built different, baby.”
Accompanying footage showed fire and police crews on the scene, extinguishing flames as smoke rose from the pub. The UFC star, never missing a promotional beat, used the moment to tout his Forged Irish Stout—another pillar of his post-fight empire.

Gardaí confirmed an investigation is underway, suggesting the fire may have been an intentional act of criminal damage. “Gardaí attended the scene of an incident of criminal damage at a licensed premises on the Drimnagh Road, Crumlin that occurred at approximately 3.00am,” they stated via Irish Independent. “The fire was extinguished by Dublin Fire Brigade. Investigations are ongoing.”
This isn’t new territory for the Black Forge Inn. Back in 2022, the establishment was reportedly targeted with petrol bombs, though the attackers failed to cause any harm that time as well. Once again, the pub stood firm—emerging virtually unscathed.
McGregor’s reaction? Pure McGregor—bold, brash, and unfazed.
Whether in the octagon or outside it, “The Notorious” continues to portray himself as untouchable. His pub, much like his persona, seems to be built to take hits and keep standing. If there’s one thing McGregor is proving—it’s that The Black Forge Inn isn’t just a bar. It’s a fortress.
