Sadly, another uncomfortable and disturbing controversy has rocked the BJJ world.
Jacob Rodriguez has reportedly been banned from training at B-Team Jiu-Jitsu following serious misconduct allegations made in a public online post by an anonymous source.
Not only is Rodriguez one of the team’s top competitors, but he is also the brother of BJJ legend and B-Team co-founder Nicky Rodriguez.
The allegations claim that Rodriguez had a “hidden photo vault on his phone containing explicit images of multiple women who train at the gym.”
After the allegations began circulating widely in the BJJ community, Craig Jones released a statement:
“Jay Rod is no longer a part of B-Team. He has stated the reasons for his removal. B-Team is a safe training place for all, and we have a zero-tolerance policy for anyone breaching that trust.”
Later, Jay Rod addressed the situation:
Jacob Rodriguez, younger brother to Nicky Rod, confirms he’s been banned from B-Team due to “unhealthy interactions with women in the gym,” and claims he is actively seeking help for his p*rn addiction. 👀

JRod’s Ex-Girlfriend Speaks Out: Allegations Suggest B-Team Exit Was More Than Just “Screenshots”
There are now numerous allegations regarding what exactly Rodriguez did and how he created this hidden album of photos featuring women who trained at the gym.
Payton Leiser—the former girlfriend of rising star Jacob “Jay Rod” Rodriguez—has broken her silence. Her account reveals a far more disturbing picture behind Rodriguez’s controversial exit from the high-profile grappling team, B-Team Jiu-Jitsu.
Rodriguez had previously issued a statement minimizing the reasons for his removal, attributing it to saving “screenshots of a woman’s public Instagram page and explicit material” on his phone. However, according to Leiser, that explanation is not just a simplification—it’s a deflection from what she describes as a far more calculated and troubling pattern of behavior.
Leiser alleges that Rodriguez maintained secret vaults on his phone, meticulously organized by women’s names. These folders, she claims, were filled with Instagram photos and pornographic material—many of which featured women who resembled his training partners. While the images may have been publicly available, she emphasizes that the categorization and obsessive collection deeply alarmed other B-Team members.
She says everything came to light in September 2024, but out of fear and emotional trauma, she kept the information to herself for months. It wasn’t until December 17, 2024, that she confided in Nick Rodriguez—Jay Rod’s brother—and shared what she had discovered. The following day, she left B-Team quietly, without making any demands or ultimatums.
Contrary to circulating rumors, Leiser insists she never asked for Jay Rod’s removal. In fact, she even returned briefly to train for a competition in early 2025 while Rodriguez was still part of the team. It wasn’t until March 2025, after B-Team co-founder Craig Jones reached out to her directly, that she disclosed the full story. Only then, she says, did the team decide to remove Rodriguez.
Their personal relationship officially ended in December 2024, but according to Leiser, Rodriguez continued to contact her throughout early 2025, expressing remorse and promising to change. Still, she remained silent—until now.
Craig Jones also posted the statement:
Below is also a rebuttal statement from Jay Rod. Look, whatever the truth is, this is a mess and a stain on the sport.
