Conor McGregor has once again made a huge splash on the internet by suggesting that he would love to do an episode with the infamous podcaster Joe Rogan.
It is odd that McGregor has never appeared on the podcast, given that Rogan often features MMA fighters on his show.
On the same evening that McGregor was booed at a Lim Bizkit concert, he reached out to Rogan on the social media platform X, asking to do a show.
“What’s up @joerogan my man I mssaged you! Are you looking for a guest on the podcast, I have a great one for you!” He wrote.

Here’s the moment McGregor was booed.

Conor McGregor hasn’t fought since July 2021 after Dustin Poirer broke him for the second time.
In his last four fights, Conor’s only win was his “match” against Donald Cerrone.
Additionally, there was a lot of build-up for a potential fight showcasing a match with Michael Chandler that totally fell apart.
To be honest, it’s not like Conor needs to fight because he has plenty of money, and the guy really has nothing to prove. In his prime, McGregor was an unstoppable force, but those days are long gone.
The Chandler fight would have been dangerous, and if he had lost, it would have been the end of his fighting career. The Irish fighter isn’t getting any younger either, and even though his heart is still in it, his mind and body may not.
McGregor’s reaching out to Rogan seems to be a bit of desperation for some positive attention, which he desperately needs.
Will McGregor Fight In 2025?
In a press conference, UFC boss Dana White said, “He’s [Mcgregor] going to fight in 2025, probably at the end of the year. If it is earlier, that is good for all of us.”
In December 2024, McGregor said he had negotiated a boxing exhibition with Logan Paul and would then focus on a return to the Octagon.
The rumors of a bout with topurio are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India.

I have agreed.
I will then seek my return to the Octagon.
At this point, McGregor should do what top athletes do when it’s time to move on: be a heck of a showman and build the sport.
McGregor could be a formidable promotions advocate for any organization and take it to the next level, but is he willing to do it?
Look, I will say this: If Conor returns and wins his first fight, he will get a shot at the title against Islam, and let’s be honest…We all want to see that, and it would possibly be the biggest fight the UFC has ever seen.
