  • Blanchfield Reveals What UFC Paid Her After Barber Incident Raising Eyebrows About Barber’s Claim

Following the insanity that turned into the lack of the main event at UFC Vegas 107, Erin Blanchfield revealed what she earned despite the canceled bout with Maycee Barber.

The fighter hailing from New Jersey confirmed she received her whole pay and 20% of Barber’s show money for missing weight.

I’m going to tell you right now, if Barber had a serious medical emergency, the UFC probably wouldn’t have given out the money like they did. What’s even more telling is that the UFC is pretty much staying quiet, meaning they are letting Barber’s camp save face.

We’ve seen fighters have real emergencies, and Dana has always issued a statement saying they’ll take care of everyone.

That has not happened in this instance.

Blanchfield told Ariel Helwani that she’s moving on from Barber and would like to “fight like someone like [Natália Silva] in the meantime, that or [Alexa Grasso]. Any of those girls to kind of keep proving myself.

I feel like without fighting on Saturday, it would be nice to get another fight, but I wouldn’t say no to a title either. I feel like with with MMA and fighting, you never know what’s going to happen.”

Blanchfield did not pull back from her from saying Barber’s life is a “mess.”

“That I still stand by. I wouldn’t want to be matched up with her again,” Blanchfield said. “I know she had issues, but I mean, if she does have that severe medical issues, she will be kind of an unreliable fighter. The whole life thing, I definitely was caught up in the moment, myself. She probably does have some issues because if she was having issues leading up into this fight, she should have pulled out sooner. Maybe she should have told the UFC she’s having some problems… been somewhat honest about like her condition, I think that definitely wasn’t right of her to do.”
